David Gare - Chairman
David has guided the Instem businesses for some 30 years. Value and growth through this period has been achieved through forward looking business strategies combined with a series of innovative corporate finance transactions. The most significant of these was the first ‘Public to Private’ transaction funded by Alchemy Partners, that of Instem Plc in 1998.
David Michael Sherwin MBA FCMA - Managing Director
David is a highly experienced finance and investment director. For 12 years David was Chief Financial Officer of Instem Plc and, with David Gare, led its privatisation. Today David is responsible for the strategic financial management of our portfolio businesses and the completion of new investment opportunities.
Phil Reason - CEO Instem LSS
Phil has been CEO of Instem LSS since 1995. In 2003 Phil relocated to Philadelphia USA, as a result of the focus of decision making in the global pharmaceutical industry having migrated there. Phil is responsible for spearheading the investment strategy of Instem Associates in companies that provide information solutions for drug development.
Kerry Brown - Consultant
Kerry is an experienced general manager and marketing consultant for technology businesses. Amongst many career assignments he led a major MBO of a group of IT businesses from a large UK PLC. Until 2007 he was the part-time chairman of Instem Technology Services and was instrumental in securing the stability of the company and its sale to AWS Electronics Group during that year.
