Dr Frances Hall, our Scientific Application Director, will be presenting at the BTS Annual Congress, taking place from 27th–29th April 2026.
Join Frances at her poster board P25 throughout the event, where she will be available to discuss the evolving role of artificial intelligence in SEND assessment and support. She welcomes conversations around understanding both the opportunities and the regulatory considerations surrounding AI-driven tools.
“AI vs. SEND: The Smartest Shortcut or a Regulatory Disaster Waiting to Happen?”
This thought-provoking poster explores the balance between innovation and compliance, examining whether AI represents a transformative breakthrough for SEND services or whether its rapid adoption risks outpacing regulatory frameworks and ethical safeguards. Frances will share insights on implementation challenges, data governance, clinical oversight, and best-practice approaches to responsible deployment.
You can also explore additional insights from Mahmoud Ahmed, Instem’s Research Data Scientist at board P60.
“An Integrated In Silico Approach to Endocrine Activity Assessment“
The poster revolves around a structured in silico protocol which integrates (Q)SAR, experimental data and expert reviews across all four Estrogen, Androgen, Thyroid and Steroidogenesis modalities.
In addition, Frances will be delivering a flash presentation during the Congress, offering a concise overview of key themes from her research. Join her on Monday, April 27th, 4:45PM – 5:00PM, in The Malvern Suite.
You can also visit the Instem team at Booth #6 to continue the conversation.
We look forward to seeing you there!
